My cancer study and cure

My cancer study and cure

I’m not a medical practitioner and this is a private study based on my own understanding without any claims to cure. Nothing below is my work and free to be used as seen fit, I just put this study together to cure myself and it fortunately worked for me. All credit if any must go to RadiationAndCancer Apr, 7-2014 who triggered my research and who’s recipe I used.
Warning – Please do your own research as some of the information found on the net can be misleading due to being bias towards marketing purposes.

Cancer is when a cell becomes malignant and multiplies consuming/replacing normal cells. We also know triggers for cancer can be due to genetic, environmental, food and lifestyle factors. The thing to me is the what: What are triggers and what is the actual cancer? Bacteria, virus infections, radiation, faulty DNA, etc. can all be triggers but are not necessary the cancer. My understanding however is; that around 84% are parasitic fungi that grows causing the malignant mutations within cells where Bacteria and 7 known Viruses are the cause of the remaining 16 % (estimate). Then again most of the known bacteria and viruses can be cured by anti-biotic and/or vaccines after which they only leave a cell-wall or DNA with damage. But that is not necessary the cancer and only making it more acceptable in developing cancer. In cell-walls “free radicals” can also cause damage and be triggers.

Example: We all know that people smoking for years are many times more receptive getting cancer when stopping. The why is in the study publishing January 26, 2017 in the open-access journal PLOS Biology by Marie-Liesse Asselin-Labat and her team of the Walter and Eliza hall Institute of Medical Research, Australia.
In short: the exposure to the smoking chemicals causes damage to the DNA of the lung stem cells. This in turn produces flawed new cells making it more receptive to infections (bacteria and viruses) and/or fungi/yeast which we inhale as microscopic spores every day. This direct contact is why the lungs are standing out as the unparalleled example.

Things that reduce the risk of cancer: (A balanced body)
1) An slightly more alkaline body with your blood pH (ideally 7.35 – 7.45)
2) Oxygen rich body
3) High immune system
4) Organic foods and natural products 20% slow cooked foods maximum. Most enzymes are destroyed at temperatures from 104 degrees F (40 degrees C).
5) Healthy gut bacteria
6) Reduce your sodium intake, increase your potassium intake (be careful with other medical conditions)
7) Filtered water (Why not boil all your water to be consumed before its filtered)

PH:
Sodium bicarbonate is a natural chemotherapy that effectively kills fungi cancer cells while dramatically reducing the brutal side effects and costs. It is many times more effective than medical approved chemo but you will struggle to find statistics and there will never be approved scientific documents. But let’s put that behind us, as the fight is against cancer. Therefore I suggest you get the book “Rich Man’s Poor Man’s Cancer Treatment” or study how the alkaline pH and Bicarbonate of Soda method works. It’s your life. The fact of the matter is that it could be done while busy with medical approved therapies without interference.

Fungi could not spread nor survive in an alkaline environment. Bicarbonate of Soda is alkaline therefore killing fungi. The problem is that parasitic fungi (cancer cells) will shut down and not absorb the Bicarbonate of Soda to protect itself. By mixing it with honey/molasses it will be absorbed by the fungi as it feeds on sugar/glucose. That is why a molasses/honey mix into a paste with Bicarbonate of Soda is effective when placed on skin cancer (melanoma).

Difficulties with this method are the different pH levels inside the body. It could be challenging to achieve an alkaline environment at a specific point and the sugar based mixture could also affect people with diabetes. It is however the most effective natural way of getting rid of most cancers and was even described as a cancer cure in the ancient Indian literature.
Warning – We can measure our saliva pH (which is a good marker that should never go above 8.5). Your blood pH will always be lower and should not go above 7.45 when the saliva pH is below 8.5. A to high pH can cause damage to the kidneys and heart

Example: Take your swimming pool. If your water pH is not correct it does not matter what you add. The fix will only be temporarily.

Oxygen:
The higher the oxygen level in your blood, the more alkalise your blood becomes. Oxygen deprived cells can easily becomes cancerous and cancerous cells cannot survive in high levels of oxygen. The body needs Iron that metabolise into haemoglobin the main carrier of oxygen. And Iron needs Copper to be better absorbed by the body. Luckily most foods containing iron also have more than enough copper. Exercise while breathing deeply, oxygen tents or hyperbaric chambers are all highly beneficial for people seeking natural cancer treatments.
Warning – Just eat right and do not (if you must) over supplement, as to high levels of iron could be dangerous.

Immune system:
Fasting for as little as three days can regenerate the entire immune system, even in the elderly, scientists have found in a study.

Look at your lifestyle: Hormones like cortisol and adrenaline are produced when we’re stressed, which is beneficial in short bursts. However, if you suffer from chronic stress it can be very negative as it weakens the adrenal glands a key component of the immune system. The more balanced your life is, the less resources will be needed for stress related functions in the body.
1) Get enough sleep and make love. 2) Limit alcohol consumption and smoking (even better when zero). 3) Take regular walks but don’t overdo any exercise. 4) Get a hobby – (more important than people realize). 5) Go out and socialize. 6) Only go to a South African Governmental Hospital if last resort or dying!!! (They got excellent Doctors but the “Red tape” processes and rude staff will make your stress level go to “dangerous”)

Allergies, sinuses, respiratory tract and parasites: There are just too many natural cures available to allow the immune resources to be drained by this. Just Google, study and fix it.

Foods: If you want to single out a product to boost your immunity amongst the many available, feel free. Just remember that; depending on what is causing the immune deficiency you could end up with a wrong product. And the “Super” marketing trick made every product basically a “Super” fruit, spice or something. Its very simple “just be sure your intake is balanced and healthy” Personally I will just pump myself full of normal Vitamin C and not Super Vitamin C when it feels like I’m going down with something.

Make sure you get your Immunizations

Sugar suppresses immune functions.

Foods and natural products:
There is no consensus amongst medical professionals about the food – blood type connection. I personally lean towards those believing in it.
Make 5 lists for your blood type: Most beneficial – Naturally beneficial – Allowed –
Restricted and Avoid. Then make a monthly pre-planned daily intake list for Breakfast, Noon and Supper. Consecrate your morning intakes around your Iron, Magnesium and Potassium intake. Your noon intakes if possible, around meat/fish, rice, vegetables and/or salads (main). Your supper can either be the leftover of the day and/or smoothy’s to fill the gaps using what you still need to stay balanced.

Gut bacteria:
Some of the compounds in food we eat cannot be absorbed directly by the body. Gut bacteria, minerals and vitamins break them down, forming the chemical binding, which makes it possible to be absorbed in the bloodstream. But then we also have unhealthy gut bacteria which normally get eliminated by natural foods and body functions. But using a parasite zapper like Olive leaf extract from time to time are maybe a good idea. There are also an abundance of other natural products that can be use to kill unwelcome invaders.

Garlic is packed with sulfur-containing amino acids, which help to combat parasites. A compound in garlic known as allicin also helps to kill and expel worms – but the garlic must be sliced, diced or chopped to fully release it. The more finely garlic is chopped, the more allicin it releases. After mincing or dicing garlic, let it sit for a few minutes to allow this chemical process to occur. Alternately, you can chew it for at least a minute.

Papaya & Pineapples have amino acids, digestive enzymes such as papain (found in papayas) and bromelain (found in pineapples) can create an unfriendly environment for protozoa and helminths alike.
The value of this traditional natural remedy for intestinal parasites was confirmed in a placebo-controlled study published in Journal of Medicinal Foods. Sixty children were treated with a mixture of air-dried Carica papaya seeds and honey, resulting in parasite clearance rates that ranged between 71.4 percent and 100 percent. Researchers praised papaya seeds as an effective, cheap and safe way to treat human intestinal parasites.

Pumpkin seeds are tasty, crunchy and nutritious. They also have the ability to paralyze helminths, allowing them to be easily flushed from the body, and have been traditionally used as a remedy for parasites. Some natural health experts advise blending a cup of raw pumpkin seeds with half a cup of coconut milk and half a cup of water, then eating the resultant paste – following up with a glass of water. Although pumpkin seeds can be very effective, results may not be immediate – you may need to repeat the treatment several times.

Oil of oregano is highly antimicrobial and made from Oreganum vulgare – can be very effective against intestinal parasites. In a study published in Phytotherapy Research, adults who were infected with three different types of parasites were treated with 600 mg of oil of oregano a day. After six weeks, parasites were totally eradicated in 72 percent of the participants; 23 percent greatly decreased their parasite load. Because researchers think that oil of oregano gets its anti-parasitical powers from carvacrol, be sure to use oil standardized to at least 65 percent carvacrol.

Neem tree properties are antibacterial, antifungal and antiviral and have been used in India for thousands of years to reliably kill parasites both internal and external. The neem tree, scientifically known as Azadirachta indica, is native to India, where it serves so many medicinal purposes that it is often referred to as “the village pharmacy.” One of neem’s assets is that it not only kills parasites, but also removes the toxins they leave behind as they are dying. This detoxifying property of neem also makes it to the liver, which is often compromised by parasitic infection.

Wormwood, black walnut and cloves have pronounced anti-protozoan effects, and is particularly effective at killing parasitic larva. In addition, it stimulates macrophages, which are a key in immune system defence against parasitic infestation.
Wormwood is often combined with black walnut, or Juglans negra, and essential oil of cloves. The juglone in black walnut helps to kill parasites, while antimicrobial oil of cloves can destroy virtually all parasite eggs in the intestinal tract. Using these three substances in combination can interrupt the parasitic life cycle, terminating these pests for good.

Chlorophyll all parasites hate chlorophyll therefore eats lots of green leafy herbs and vegetables to get rid of them.

Finally, it is essential to sharply reduce and/or eliminate sugar, grains, pork, smoking and alcohol.

Important factors this research highlighted. We need a lifestyle change!!!

So you want to be healthy! OK:
1) Study the body pH and get your blood pH between 7,35 – 7,45
2) Stop using a Microwave (just research why microwave ovens were banned in Russia)
3) Remove all silver/mercury fillings in your teeth
4) Stop eating all forms of pork and products
5) Cut down on sugar (use molasses or honey – restricted)
6) Do not use table salt (sea salt only – within limits)
7) Cut out processed foods (Scale down your Cadmium intake as much as possible)
8) Try to eliminate chlorine and fluoride intake
9) Eat the raw natural products and only cook 20% of your food on a low heat
10) Start reading the labels of the products you buy
11) Good, now let us look how we get our food to cell level. a) Some compounds in food lack a binding (absorbing) agent and cannot be absorbed directly by our bloodstream; therefore it needs our gut bacteria and/or combinations with other compounds like minerals and/or vitamins to it break it down to be absorbed. b) Electrolytes are ions in our blood that is necessary for the electrical current in our bodies to control for instance the heart, enzyme operations, muscle contraction, cell abortion, etc and form “lets call it highways in our bloodstream”. Of which sodium and potassium are the main balancing ingredients. c) There are many Taxis using these highways in our blood of which Magnesium is one that delivers more than 300+ substances to where needed (like for instance Calcium). d) Magnesium will deliver calcium to the bones where it is stored but will take from the bones to deliver when needed in another part of the body. e) It takes around 15 min to reach cell level from intake where Potassium aids with the absorption at cell levels. Other Taxis of note are: Iron for oxygen, Zink helps restore your immune and digestive systems and can be seen as the glue that holds the body together, Silicon, etc.
Please be careful and ask someone with knowledge before experimenting with supplements. (Hope this explanation gives you a basic picture because there is a lot more to it)

Things cancer like: (The opposite of the above mentioned)
1) An acidic pH environment
2) Sugar (is fungi fuel)
3) Artificial sweeteners, coffee creamers and whiteners. (very high in impurities like carcinogenic substances that directly links to cancer)

44) Vitamin D (The Sun – moderate but we still need this)
45) Vitamin E
46) Watermelon

Coffee – Studies over a 10 year period were concluded in May 2016 and did not find conclusive evidence that coffee is a cancer trigger. It actually has healing properties for brain, throat, and oral cancers. To myself and all coffee lovers, coffee is not a cure or trigger when consumed, but any form of consumption over 65 degrees is a problem.

The “RadiationAndCancer” recipe I used: (20 days – 1 week break – another 20 days – (the 2nd 20 days is a double precaution as you got nothing to loose).

1) When waking up test your saliva pH without consuming anything, even drinking water (striving for 8 – 8.5 during medication but take care not to go above 8.5 as a to high alkaline state could affect the kidneys and your heart)
2) Then on that same empty stomach drink a glass with 1 tea spoon of sodium bicarbonate and 2 tea spoons of honey boiled for 10 sec in 250 ml of water. (Not micro-waved just open your kettle lid)
3) After 30 min drink 1000mg of vitamin C with the juice of 1 lemon. Repeat every 8 hours on an empty stomach
4) Wait 30 min after the vitamin C intake then brush your teeth and carry on as normal for the rest the day
5) Also do not deviate from your pre-planned diet intake for your blood type while on medication
6) Eat cannabis cookies and drink fruit & vegetable Smoothy’s for snacks (do not smoke the stuff as smoking change the structure of 2 of the most beneficial chemical compounds in cannabis negatively)

Incorporate a parasite zapper like Coriander Silver or Olive leaf extract if unsure how the cancer was induced. Get over your shock, ask your Doctor the necessary and start fighting the correct way.

Once done after the 20 day period bring your pH down to between 7.31 – 7.45 and keep it there for the rest of your life.

Tip: In normal life when waking up drink 1 tea spoon of honey and half a squeezed lemon with 250 ml of warm water every day for the rest of your life. Always keep track of your pH and supplement as needed. Decide how you feel after 3 weeks. If you cheat you do not cheat me.

Why I choose to try this below R300.00 recipe:

1) It’s clear that an alkaline state suppresses/kills fungi and therefore the pH of your body is of importance. Cancer cells will however shutdown and not absorb sodium bicarbonate but combining it with honey/molasses form the binding combination for the cell to accept it, therefore killing it
2) It takes 15 min from intake to reach cell level therefore your Magnesium (taxi) and Potassium (cell binding properties) intake is important
3) Vitamin C – has a broad spectrum antioxidant functions with the ability to protect cell structures and DNA from free radical damage, cancer, helps with oxygen absorption and many other ailments. It is also remarkably safe in extraordinary high doses. It generates hydrogen peroxide, which in turn selectively destroys cancer cells and does not harm healthy cells. The hydrogen peroxide molecule looks similar to a sugar/glucose molecule and when absorbed by the cancer cell mix with iron or copper to form into a new compound called dehydroascorbic acid (Trojan horse) that damages the cancer cell from within. Normal cells are not affected by this. Orally take as much as your body could tolerate 3 times daily (your stomach will tell you). By IV method it is much more effective. Read about high doses of Vitamin C and/or watch this Video by Dr. Suzanne Humphries – The Swedish Society for Orthomolecular Medicine, Stockholm, Sweden 2014
4) Vitamin C gets quickly absorbed and broken down in the body therefore the 3 times daily intakes
5) The 30 min wait is to give it a change to achieve the maximum absorption effect. If it really matter I do not know
6) The rest is basically to keep the body environment balanced while on medication. But it does not stop there; start living healthier even after the medication period. Listen to your body and do not overdo or cut any food groups from your diet but check for compatibility against your blood group/cancer foods and only cut the specific foods to be avoided.

Yes, the Medical profession are bound by guidelines only to follow approved medical methods enforced on them or could loose their licences and therefore will not look at, or advice alternative methods. Some do take risks by advising alternative or natural therapies off the record. The science behind it is however flawed because of money and therefore the intolerance to look at them. Natural products cannot be patented; therefore companies try to make generic products based on the most effective natural products, which they are allowed to patent. One “Big Pharmaceutical Company” tried to patent Olive Leave Extract because of its effectiveness. Pharmaceutical companies however did discovered and developed many drugs that have had an enormous positive impact on human health. Unfortunately some criminal action/tactics and certain products that cannot be trusted are beyond belief. That makes it clear to me why cannabis will only become legally available through a licence, to control the money, as it cannot be patented.
Chemotherapy is criminal in a high percentage of cases; as it poisons rapidly-growing cancer cells it also destroys developing healthy cells that can lead to serious complications in other parts of the body like chemo brain to mention one and will also break down the immune system. Most chemotherapy’s are even more toxic that hydrogen cyanide which is formed by enzymes breaking down Amygdalin found in apricot seeds. But you will only hear how bad Vitamin B17 (Amygdalin) is. There will always be enough science to find some natural products dangerous but never enough to find it approvable like chemo.

You can also download the video Every Cancer Can Be Cured – Dr. Leonard Coldwell

More cures and therapies:

You can also try the 3-5 glasses of carrot juice (1.5L) per day until healed (make your own). If interested research or contact Ralph Cole or Ann Cameron. Ralph Cole / Ann Cameron

To me it looks like the carrot juice recipe could be done in tandem with the 20 day recipe. But be careful to choose a route and follow it for a period of time. Then get a scan and/or your blood tested which should tell if it’s working. If not, choose a different route. Do not use multiple routes at once as certain products could possibly counter balance each other.

Parasite Zappers: (a must in any combination cure)
Colloidal silver, olive leaf extract, pumpkin seeds, neem tree extract, chlorophyll, garlic and many more products kills parasites like fungi, viruses, bacteria and worms. Keep these parasites at bay and your chances of ever getting cancer are very slim.

Promising minerals and products: (The claims of M-3 Meso-Iridium colloid looks very promising and the route I will investigate if I was diabetic)
Meso-Iridium colloid (M-3 is 70% rhodium, 15% iridium and 15% gold) others to investigate are rubidium, doxycycline, caesium, mebendazole, dichloroacetate and many more.

Vitamin D:
Vitamin D is made in the body by the sun shining on our skin (UVB radiation) and cholesterol. 5 – 10 minutes between 10:00 am and 3:00 pm moderate exposure/day should be sufficient for the making of calciol and 25-hydroxyvitamin D3 in the liver. Vitamin D3-Sulphate is water-soluble, which lets the sulphate form of vitamin D travel freely in the blood stream. Vitamin D deficiency has the greatest impact on cancer rates. Vitamin D is extremely important for regulating cell growth and for cell-to-cell communication. Vitamin D has an influence on more than 200 human genes, which can be restricted when our Vitamin D levels are low.

Gerson Therapy:
Research Dr. Max Gerson and/or Gerson Therapy

Budwig Protocol:
Research Dr. Johanna Budwig and/or Budwig Protocol

Proteolytic Enzyme Therapy:
Research John Beard and/or Proteolytic Enzyme Therapy

And some more:
The Frankincense Essential Oil Therapy or the Organic Natural Food route

My research proved to me that there are a number of cures in natural products and/or combinations that are not investigated by “Big Parma” due to the money involved. I feel the above 20 day recipe and your balanced diet will be enough to cure most cancers. Hope you can start before to much damage was done.

NB! Although this quick fix method will work in most cases, others will need a prolonged period of medication to heal due to the severity and varied pH conditions in the body.

Footnote:
My grandfather’s grandmother on his mother’s side had a farm (South African west coast) that produced cannabis until it was banned. They grew it as medicine and never smoked it. My grandfather and his siblings made a tea or mixed it with milk until they died at 96, 97 and 102. Other siblings did die at a younger age due to different reasons from falling of a horse to others, but nobody in the older generation ever had cancer.

Good luck

29 Travel Hacks Even Frequent Fliers Don’t Know

Check your credit cards for perks

Instead of insulting your intelligence with “hacks” like “pack light,” or “bring an empty water bottle,” we’ve put together a list of tips and tricks that will help even the most seasoned jetsetter avoid the inevitable hassles of frequent flying.

1. Sign up for TSA PreCheck or Global Entry

Essentially an express lane for the proactive, these programs are pre-approvals from the U.S. Customs and Border Protection that designate you a low-risk traveler. As long as you’re not a convicted criminal, you’re good to go after little more than some light paperwork and a quick in-person interview.

Essentially, TSA PreCheck ($85) makes U.S. domestic travel simpler, allowing you to keep your shoes, belts, etc. on and cut security lines, while Global Entry ($100) makes returning from an international trip easier, eradicating paperwork and lengthy processing lines.

2. Book two one-way flights

Sometimes flying two different airlines and booking two one-way tickets is cheaper than booking a round-trip, plus it may get you better arrival and departure times as you mix and match flights. Some flight-booking sites, such as Kayak, already do this for you, but you should do your homework and check the airline websites yourself for even better deals.

3. Book non-U.S. airlines if possible

Foreign carriers have better amenities than U.S. ones, even in economy, where they often provide you with hot towels, pillows and blankets, and even — gasp — full cans of soda.

4. Understand Code Shares

Make sure you know how flight partnerships work before booking a flight on a partner airline for miles. Some partnerships will offer the same mileage; others will give you less. Others again may calculate miles based on the amount of money you paid for the ticket, rather than the distance flown.

5. Get upgrades by booking an economy ticket with a Y or B booking code

Ask and thou shalt receive (when possible). Basically just requesting an upgrade when booking should get your ticket marked with a Y or B booking code, which, according to TravelNerd.com‘s Amy Lee, means the flier is looking for an upgrade. In other words, should there be any open seats in the next class up from what you booked, you should get a complimentary upgrade. This works best if you’re a frequent flier and loyal to the carrier you’re booked on.

6. Pretend you’re somewhere else when booking to score discounted fares

Where a ticket is purchased, called its “point of sale,” can affect its price thanks to something called “regional pricing.” Basically, the price of a ticket will be lower in a country with a lower standard of living or when travel companies are trying to break into a new country, according to travel industry analyst Henry Harteveldt.

Harteveldt says you can find different ticket prices for the same flight on Expedia.com and Expedia.co.jp, the Japanese version, as well as for internal foreign flights on an international carrier’s website by changing your “residence” to the airline’s home country. The only thing to watch out for is that you’ll be seeing prices in local currency, so make sure to do the math and convert them.

7. Clear those cookies

A little thing called “dynamic pricing” means that no, refreshing a window 147,554 times will not make a flight cheaper, but it may actually make the price go up as it changes based on demand. While most people like to get around this by using incognito windows, clearing your search history and cookies is a safer bet.

8. Know that you have a 24-hour window to get a refund

Even nonrefundable flights generally have a 24-hour window during which you can cancel them without having to pay a fee. In other words, pull the trigger and book a flight, then keep tracking it for another day to see if a better rate pops up, in which case cancel and rebook. Or put your airfare on hold on carriers like American Airlines, Southwest, and Virgin America, which all have free 24-hour hold services. United has something called a FareLock starting at $6.99 that lets you wait up to a week before booking, while Options Away ($4 to $45) can hold flights for up to three weeks.

9. Fly on a Boeing 767

If you’re deciding between similar flights and one is on a Boeing 767, take that one, as the aircraft has fewer of the dreaded middle seats than other planes.

If you can’t get on a Boeing 767, check out our comprehensive guide to getting the best seat on every flight. Your best bet is checking seatguru.com, which has up-to-date seating charts for every single flight and gives you the inside scoop on whether a row doesn’t recline, whether a seat is too close to the bathroom, or whether there’s any extra legroom to be had.

10. Download your airline’s app

Most airlines (including Delta and United) have invested some significant cash into developing apps that provide you with real-time updates on gate changes or delays, so you can hit up one of those Xpress Spas without worrying about missing vital information. Even better, the app also allows for paperless boarding at most airports.

11. Keep a go-bag of essential items

Instead of wasting time squeezing your favorite shampoo into TSA-friendly 3.4-ounce bottles, or packing and unpacking the same toiletries over and over again, keep a go-bag of your favorite items at the ready. That way you don’t have to think about what you may need or scramble at the last minute.

Pro tip: Try ordering samples of your favorite products online for free travel-size toiletries.

12. Keep an extra set of cables and chargers ready

Forget racing around your apartment pulling cables out of outlets. Instead, keep a small, zippered, and water-resistant bag of electronics, batteries, and chargers packed, and never think about them again.

13. Pack a squishy carry-on

Checking a bag is amateur hour, but taking this trick to the next level is using a duffel or some sort of squishy bag as your carry-on. Having a malleable bag that can be smushed into the overhead bin means it is less likely to be taken from you at the gate.

Or, even better, outfit yourself with the right gear, such as this “perfect”-size carry-on, which will fit every airline’s size requirements.

14. Roll clothing up, then use air-compression plastic bags to squeeze air out of them

We have tons of packing tips, but one of the best is to roll rather than fold clothes to maximize space and minimize wrinkling, then use space-compressible plastic bags to push excess air out of the clothes for even more space. If you’re not into the idea of rolling your clothes, packing them in tissue paper or dry-cleaner plastic should also reduce wrinkles.

15. Pack one color scheme, and make sure it’s a dark one

Try to pack clothes that are all in the same color family, preferably dark. This means all of your clothes will match and you don’t need to waste time worrying about putting together outfits. Also, dark colors hide stains.

16. Use shoes for more space

Use your rolled-up socks as shoe trees, preserving your shoe’s shape inside the suitcase while maximizing space by using that inside of your shoes.

17. Pack shoes foot-to-toe at the bottom of your bag

Putting the heaviest items at the bottom, near the wheels of a suitcase, ensures that your bag is balanced. There’s nothing worse than a bag that keeps tipping over as you’re rushing to the gate.

18. See extra cities for free

Why not add a free stopover (any connection that’s more than four hours domestically and 24 hours internationally) to a flight you’ve already paid for? Some airlines — and you’ll have to check first — offer free stopovers, generally in their hub city, meaning you can visit an extra destination or two without purchasing any extra tickets. This is especially great if you do it on a business trip while using a company-paid flight.

19. Volunteer to get bumped off a flight

If your flight is overbooked and you have no pressing plans, volunteer your seat to make some extra money. That said, be smart and negotiate your compensation — it helps to know what you’re entitled to. Ask for cash, or make sure flight vouchers don’t have tons of stipulations and blackout dates that would make them impossible to redeem. Also, make sure that even if you’re the first to volunteer, you’ll get the same amount of money as the last one to, as compensation often increases as the airline gets more desperate for people to give up seats. That said, double-check that you will not be on standby on your next flight or in any position to get stranded where you are (for example, if you’re giving up a seat on the last flight out for the day).

20. Check your credit cards for perks

You might already be entitled to perks without knowing it. From covering your insurance when renting a car to hotel-room upgrades and access to airline lounges, many credit cards you may already have come with special advantages and freebies.

21. Choose the best credit card for travel

Travel perks differ, so you need to figure out what your priorities are, like whether you want to earn more miles or get foreign transaction fees waived. One of the best travel credit cards is the Chase Sapphire Preferred Card, which gives you 2 Ultimate Rewards Points per $1 spent on travel and restaurants, as well as 1 point per $1 spent elsewhere. It also waives those pesky foreign transaction fees, offers a signup bonus of 40,000 points when you spend $4,000 on purchases in the first three months of opening an account, and boasts 20% off travel when you redeem points for airfare, hotels, car rentals, and cruises through Chase Ultimate Rewards. That said, it charges an annual fee of $95.

22. Get into the airport lounge, even if your ticket says economy

Juice Therapy

According to health experts, the juice therapy is an amazing, long-term treatment that will help you relieve joint pain. Natural juices do miracles, and there is still no evidence regarding their possible side-effects.

One of the great benefits of this therapy is that it not only eliminates pain, but also strengthens and rejuvenates your organism, and boosts your energy. Do not worry about the dosing, because natural juices are completely safe and there is nothing wrong with “overdosing.”

You can use natural juices to relieve arthritis pain and heal your joints. In this article we have covered the top 3 juices you should drink regularly:

1. Pineapple Juice

Pineapple juice is great for the joints, because it is packed with bromelain, an enzyme known for its strong anti-inflammatory properties.

Pineapple juice does miracles in the treatment of sport injuries, joint pain and postoperative swelling. In addition to this, pineapple juice acts as a fuel for your body. It contains all the minerals and vitamins your body needs. Drink 300-350 milliliters of pineapple juice every day.

2. Cherry Juice

Cherries contain anthocyanins, known as strong anti-inflammatory agents. They relieve arthritis induced pain. Cherries are rich in beta-carotene and copper. These both work great in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis.

3. Raw Potato Juice

Raw potato juice is the most effective natural remedy for arthritis, and it has been used for centuries. The traditional preparation method consists of slicing the potatoes and soaking the slices in a glass of water overnight. Remember, you should not peel the potato. Drink the juice in the morning, before you eat or drink anything.

Note:

Make sure you use natural fruits, and prepare your juice using a juicer or a blender. Store bought juices do not provide the benefits you need, and they are often loaded with sugar and preservatives.

Dissolve 2 level teaspoons of salt in 8.5 oz/ 250 ml of hot water (60-70°C). Now you have 8% salt solution.

Headache is often caused by the food you eat, like diet soda, alcohol and others.

Wash your forehead, ears and neck with some warm water. Soak the gauzes in the salt solution, squeeze out the excess and apply the compresses on your forehead, neck and around the ears. It is better if you lie down while the compresses do their job.

You will soon feel some relieve, but leave the compresses for a while. Lie for another 20 minutes. After you remove the compresses, rinse your neck, ears and forehead.

High salt intake often causes swelling and high blood pressure, but salt compresses have the opposite effect. They affect your health condition through the skin and stimulate the elimination of excess fluids from the body. You can treat swollen feet in the similar way.

Six countries where Americans can study at universities, in English, for free (or almost free)

Posted in EDUCATION, Finance, Household tips, News on January 11, 2015 by betweentwopines

By  eisegesis at ATS.
Considering how little I gave a crap about school and my choice to follow a “higher” education, if you catch my drift, I managed to pass through as an A/B student. College seemed like the obvious next step in securing my future and possibly raising a family.

Fast forward thirteen years and here I am still, no college diploma. I have seen friends of mine go through the grind and pursue what they thought was a sure thing only to be left with massive debt and nothing to show for it. Ironically, I make more than many of them. Hard work, the willingness to learn and a good attitude has been my secret to success.

But what if college was free here in America? Surely, if we weren’t spending $337 million per day on fruitless endeavors as pointed out by another poster on this site, we could easily fund the entire American school system. In fact, all it would take is less than seventy billion dollars a year!

Here’s Exactly How Much the Government Would Have to Spend to Make Public College Tuition-Free

Instead, the increase in costs to operate our colleges and universities has been repeatedly shifted onto those seeking to further their education as tuition fees have surged over 500% since 1985.

Our education has devolved into another parallel system of rich entrepreneurs and a slave class who could barely afford to work underneath them. Public schools fund nearly 75% of undergrads and those remaining 25% will be your future masters.

The conspiracy is why we all aren’t given a fair opportunity to become something more. Those in power would never swim in a pond with all the same size fish. They would eventually starve and succumb to the same cold plate of food the rest of us Americans have a hard time swallowing. There would be greater competition and less domination, overall producing a better product and societal outcome.

Let’s take a look at the surprising and very cheap alternatives there are to pricey American college degrees. Below are seven countries that offer American courses for little or no cost at all. As a note, relocating and trying to keep your sanity in a foreign land does have it’s difficulties. Where there is will, there is a way.

Germany

Germany’s higher education landscape primarily consists of internationally well-ranked public universities, some of which receive special funding because the government deems them “excellent institutions.” What’s more, Americans can earn a German undergraduate or graduate degree without speaking a word of German and without having to pay a single dollar of tuition fees: About 900 undergraduate or graduate degrees are offered exclusively in English, with courses ranging from engineering to social sciences. For some German degrees, you don’t even have to formally apply.

Finland

This northern European country charges no tuition fees, and it offers a large number of university programs in English. However, the Finnish government amiably reminds interested foreigners that they “are expected to independently cover all everyday living expenses.” In other words: Finland will finance your education, but not your afternoon coffee break.

France

There are at least 76 English-language undergraduate programs in France, but many are offered by private universities and are expensive. Many more graduate-level courses, however, are designed for English-speaking students, and one out of every three French doctoral degrees is awarded to a foreign student.

“It is no longer needed to be fluent in French to study in France,” according to the government agency Campus France. The website studyportals.eu provides a comprehensive list of the available courses in France and other European countries.

Public university programs charge only a small tuition fee of about 200 dollars for most programs. Other, more elite institutions have adopted a model that requires students to pay fees that are based on the income of their parents. Children of unemployed parents can study for free, while more privileged families have to pay more. This rule is only valid for citizens of the European Union, but even the maximum fees (about $14,000 per year) are often much lower than U.S. tuition fees. Some universities, such as Sciences Po Paris, offer dual degrees with U.S. colleges

Sweden

This Scandinavian country is among the world’s wealthiest, and its beautiful landscape beckons. It also offers some of the world’s most cost-efficient college degrees. More than 900 listed programs in 35 universities are taught in English. However, only Ph.D programs are tuition-free.

Norway

Norwegian universities do not charge tuition fees for international students. The Norwegian higher education system is similar to the one in the United States: Class sizes are small and professors are easily approachable. Many Norwegian universities offer programs taught in English. American students, for example, could choose “Advanced Studies for Solo Instrumentalists or Chamber Music Ensembles” or “Development Geography.”

But don’t expect to save money in Norway, which has one of the world’s highest costs of living for expats. And be careful where you decide to study. “Winters in general are quite different in different parts of the country, with the north having hard, arctic winters, and the southwest mostly having mild, wet average European winters,” the Norwegian Center for International Cooperation in Education notes.

Slovenia

About 150 English programs are available, and foreign nationals only pay an insignificant registration fee when they enroll. Slovenia borders Italy and Croatia, among Europe’s most popular vacation destinations. However, Times Higher Education, a weekly magazine based in London, did not list one Slovenian university in its recent World University Ranking.

Ebola’s Cytokine Storm: Protect Yourself

Posted in ATS Thread, Drugs, Food, Health, Household tips, Medicine, Warnings on August 26, 2014 by betweentwopines

A Post by  soficrow at ATS.
” Like bird flu, Ebola kills with a cytokine storm – by pushing healthy immune systems into hyperdrive – and making your body kill itself.  ”

….The terminal phase of Ebola is the “cytokine storm,” which occurs when the immune system begins attacking every organ in the body, bursting blood vessels and making the infected person bleed both internally and externally, through the eyes, vomit, and diarrhea.

Into the Eye of the Cytokine Storm

SELF-DEFENSE

1. Do NOT “boost your immune system” – you’ll just fuel the virus.

2. DO pig out on anti-inflammatories – the virus hijacks the immune system in a way that causes out-of-control inflammation – you need to stop the inflammation, not promote it with immune supports.

GREAT ANTI-INFLAMMATORY SPICES & HERBS

Use these as much as you can, wherever and whenever:

Turmeric, ginger, cinnamon, garlic, cayenne, black pepper, clove, basil, cardamom, chamomile, celery seed, cilantro, fennel seeds, parsley, nutmeg, rosemary, dark chocolate/cocoa

ANTI-INFLAMMATORY DIET & PYRAMID

….also consider ice baths for high fever.

Here’s a good Ebola overview (sometimes hard to read but worth the effort).

Ebola Virus Pathogenesis: Implications for Vaccines and Therapies

Also note: Most pandemic chronic diseases involve inflammation – so anti-inflammatories help most everything these days.

rickymouse :  “Excellent Thread Soficrow.Building your immune system chemicals above a certain point is done by many people. They think it is good to do this. Since our immune system is what usually kills us, not the virus, it is not good to supply it with fuel as you say.

I like your choices of anti-inflammatory herbs and spices. Cammomile can cause a little problem with those who have the rag weed allergy though. Cilantro can free heavy metals from bone if over consumed also, causing problems if you just start introducing consumption at a high rate. The body has to be able to clear the metals out of the body, if the cilantro does not stimulate you to pee more, then it can cause problems. Lots of water needs to be drank with some of the things that do this. ”

By whitewave :  “ When I had to deal with a cytokine storm (not due to Ebola), I found through trial and a lot of error that L-acetylcysteine and especially vitamin D3 worked miraculously. Took nearly 4 months of drowning in secretions and non-stop coughing before I hit on that magic combo but the results were a blessed relief. “

Can Vitamin C Cure Ebola?

Posted in Drugs, Health, Household tips, Medicine on August 22, 2014 by betweentwopines

Commentary by Steve Hickey PhD, Hilary Roberts PhD, and Damien Downing MBBS, MSB.

(OMNS Aug 20, 2014) If there were a drug that worked on Ebola you should use it. There isn’t. There is only vitamin C. But you must be extremely careful what you believe, because, as it ever was, the Internet is full of dangerous loonies. For coming up to a decade now the OMNS has reported on nutritional therapies; we leave the medical politics to one side and work from the facts. Here are the facts about vitamin C and Ebola.

1. Taking a gram or so of day of vitamin C won’t protect you against anything except acute scurvy; it doesn’t matter whether the vitamin is liposomal, nano-particles, or even gold-plated. Beware of websites, companies, and Youtube clips making wild and unsubstantiated claims about the efficacy of vitamin C.

2. Clinical reports suggest that taking vitamin C almost to bowel tolerance every day (in divided doses) will help to protect you against all viruses. Reports by independent physicians have been consistent for decades. However, the doctors also stipulated most emphatically that the dose and the way you take it must be right – or it will not work. There is no direct placebo controlled “evidence” that massive doses of vitamin C will work on Ebola, and nobody would volunteer to take part in that study. But massive doses are reported to have helped against every virus it has been pitched against. This includes Polio, Dengue and AIDS, and it even makes vaccination work better. In the 1980s when no other treatment was available it was reported that full blown AIDS could be reversed and the patient brought back to reasonable health.[i,ii]

At risk or worried about Ebola? This is what you should do.

Vitamin C

Vitamin C is the primary antioxidant in the diet. Most people do not take enough to be healthy. While this is true of many nutrients, vitamin C is a special case. Ignore governments telling you that you only need about 100 mg a day and can get this amount from food. The required amount of vitamin C varies your state of health. A normal adult in perfect health may need only a small intake, say 500 mg per day, but more is needed when someone is even slightly under the weather. Similarly, to prevent illness, the intake needs to be increased.

The intake for an otherwise healthy person to have a reasonable chance of avoiding a common cold is in the region of 8-10 grams (8,000-10,000 mg) a day. This is about ten times what corporate medicine has tested in their trials on vitamin C and the common cold. Ten grams (10,000 mg) is the minimum pharmacological intake; it may help if you have a slight sore throat but more (much more) may be needed. To get rid of a common cold, you may need anything from 20 to 60 grams (60,000 mg) a day. With influenza the need might be for 100 grams (100,000 mg) a day. Since it varies from person to person, and from illness to illness, the only way to find out is to experiment for yourself.

Dynamic flow

The problem with oral intakes is that healthy people do not absorb vitamin C well due to something Dr Robert Cathcart called bowel tolerance. [iii] Take too much of the vitamin in a single dose and it will cause loose stools. In good health, a person might be able to take a couple of grams at a time without this problem. Strangely, when a person becomes sick they can take far more without this side effect: as much as 20-100+ grams a day, in divided doses. [iv]

High dose vitamin C has a short half-life in the body. The half-life is the time for the level in the blood plasma to fall back to half its concentration. Until recently, some people claimed that the half-life of vitamin C was several weeks. We have shown that this long half-life applies only to very low doses.[v] By contrast, the half-life for high blood levels is only half an hour. This short half-life means that for high dose vitamin C the period between doses needs to be short – a few hours at most.

The aim is to achieve dynamic flow, to get vitamin C flowing continuously through the body. Dynamic flow requires multiple high doses taken throughout the day. When separated in time, each dose is absorbed independently. Two doses of 3 grams, taken 12 hours apart, are absorbed better than 6 grams taken all at once. Multiple large doses, say 3 grams four times a day, produce a steady flow of the vitamin from the gut, into the bloodstream and out, via the urine. Some of the intake is not absorbed into the blood and stays in the gut, as a reserve against the early onset of illness. As illness begins, the body pulls in this “excess” to help fight the virus.

The idea behind dynamic flow is that the body is kept in a reduced (antioxidant) state, using high doses. There is always vitamin C available, to refresh the body and other antioxidants. Each vitamin C molecule (ascorbic acid) has two antioxidant electrons, which it can donate to protect the body. It then becomes oxidised to dehydroascorbate (DHA). This oxidized molecule is then excreted, so the body has gained two antioxidant electrons. The kidneys reabsorb vitamin C, but not DHA; the vitamin C molecule is absorbed, used up, and then the oxidized form is thrown out with the rubbish.

The effectiveness of vitamin C is not directly proportional to the dose; it is non-linear. There is a threshold above which vitamin C becomes highly effective. Below this level, the effect is small; above it, the effect is dramatic. The problem is that no-one can tell you in advance what intake of vitamin C you need. The solution is to take more – more than you think necessary, more than you consider reasonable. The mantra is dose, dose, dose.

Types of Vitamin C

Straightforward, low cost ascorbic acid is the preferred form of supplement. Vendors may try to sell you “better absorbed” forms with minerals or salts such as sodium, potassium or calcium ascorbate, and so on. These are irrelevant, if not counterproductive, for high intakes. It is worth noting the following:

  1. Timing is more important than form. Two large doses of ascorbic acid taken a little time apart are better absorbed than a single dose of mineral ascorbate.
  2. Mineral ascorbates are salts and do not carry the same number of antioxidant electrons. Ascorbic acid has two electrons to donate while a salt typically has only one. With high doses, the “improved” forms are thus only about half as effective. This is consistent with reports that mineral forms are correspondingly ineffective in combating illness.
  3. Ascorbic acid is a weak acid, much weaker than the hydrochloric acid in the stomach. Mineral ascorbates may be better tolerated, as they make the stomach more alkaline than ascorbic acid. However, an alkaline stomach is not a good idea – there are reasons the body secretes hydrochloric acid into the stomach, including preventing infection. Furthermore, if you are coming down with a haemorrhagic viral infection, mild discomfort will not be something of great concern.
  4. For high intakes, capsules of ascorbic acid are preferable to tablets. This is because tablets are packed with fillers and it is not wise to take massive doses of these chemicals. Check the ingredients – you want to take ascorbic acid and very little else. Bioflavonoids are alright, and the capsules may be made with gelatine or a vegetarian equivalent.
  5. The cheapest way to take ascorbic acid is as powder, dissolved in water. If you do this, use a straw to avoid it getting on the tooth enamel, as it is slightly acidic. You will need a set of accurate electronic scales to monitor the dose. If you do not weigh it carefully, it will be difficult to keep close to bowel tolerance.

Intravenous Vitamin C

Ideally, infected people would be given a continuous intravenous (IV) infusion of massive doses of vitamin C (sodium ascorbate is preferred as ascorbic acid is irritant to veins).

  1. People who are sufficiently ill will not be able to take vitamin C by mouth.
  2. IV provides the highest possible blood levels
  3. IV means continuous drip, not an injection (short half-life)

Unless you are a medical professional who can treat yourself and your family, or are exceptionally rich, IV ascorbate will not be an option in an Ebola outbreak.

Rectal Vitamin C

Rectal administration of sodium ascorbate is a method that can be used in emergencies, and in developing world circumstances, when IV is unavailable or unsuitable. Nurses can quickly be trained to mix 15-30 g of sodium ascorbate in 250-500 ml clean water, and give it by enema. It can be safely and effectively used in children. An enema also removes from the bowel material that may be challenging. This has been done successfully with aboriginal people in the Australian outback.

Liposomes

In healthy people, liposomes help the absorption of oral vitamin C; in some circumstances this is also true for sick people. However, we need to dispel some popular myths.

In a healthy person, higher blood levels (about 600 microM/L) can be achieved using liposomal vitamin C compared with standard ascorbic acid (about 250 microM/L). We were the first to demonstrate this fact experimentally.[vi] However, the two absorption methods are different and if both are used together the resultant plasma levels are additive (something like 600 + 250 = 850 microM/L). Since ascorbic acid is much cheaper than liposomal vitamin C, it is cost effective for a healthy person to start with ascorbic acid and top up with liposomes as required.

When a person becomes ill they can absorb massive doses of standard ascorbic acid, using the dynamic flow approach. So if you are sick, taking a gram of liposomal vitamin C instead of a gram of cheap ascorbic acid will provide little extra benefit. Both will be well absorbed , and the liposome contains sodium ascorbate which is less effective. Liposomes only provide added benefit once the sick person has approached bowel tolerance levels, using standard ascorbic acid.

Liposomal vitamin C is NOT more effective than IV for fighting acute infections. This suggestion is unscientific and unsupported by data. We prefer liposomes for chronic infections and cancer, but this does not extend to acute illness. There is also a lot of hype around the fact that liposomes can be absorbed directly into cells. Many liposomes are absorbed from the gut and pass into the liver, where they are stored and the vitamin C released. Liposomes may also float around in the bloodstream, lymph nodes, and so on, waiting to release their contents or be taken up by cells. But the cells that take up the liposomes are not necessarily those that are most in need of vitamin C. Moreover cells may suffer side effects; liposomes are basically nanotechnology and have additional theoretical issues.

Prevention

To have a reasonable chance of avoiding a major viral infection, a daily intake of at least 10 grams of ascorbic acid is needed. The idea is to start low, taking say 500 -1,000 mg four times a day. Build up the intake to close to bowel tolerance; increased wind and large soft stools will occur before diarrhea signals that bowel tolerance has been exceeded. At this stage, back off the dose a little, to a reasonably comfortable level.

At the first hint of an infection – feeling unwell, itchy throat, fatigue, and so on – take more ascorbic acid. If the hint of impending sickness is mild, take perhaps 5 grams every half hour or even more frequently. Anything more than a hint of infection, take as large a dose as you feel could be tolerated and follow this by taking 5 grams every half hour. The rule is to take as much as you can without going over the tolerated level: you will probably be taking too little, even though you are trying hard to take a massive dose.

If you are already in dynamic flow and want extra protection, then add liposomal vitamin C. Take it at the same intervals as the ascorbic acid; that is several times a day. The limit is once again bowel tolerance – take too much and it will give you loose stools. This will provide the maximum preventive effect, for the lowest cost.

Treatment

We assume that you are not a medical professional and do not have access to IV ascorbate. However, if IV sodium ascorbate is available, it should be given slowly and as continuously as possible. For children, enemas may be the most practical method (we hope to publish practical instructions for this soon). Medical professionals can deal with such things with little difficulty, but others may do more harm than good.

The first important thing is to start the treatment early. The longer a person waits after the initial symptoms, the less effective the treatment will be. Also if the illness is allowed to develop the sick person may become unable to take anything orally.

Once again, the idea is to get dynamic flow going with as much ascorbic acid as can be tolerated. In this case, the doses are massive. Five to ten grams every half hour, through the day, will provide 120 to 240 grams a day. Even at this high intake, the blood plasma levels may be low or undetectable; at most 250 microM/L will be achieved. So the question then becomes how much additional liposomal vitamin C the patient can tolerate.

A practical approach would be to start with 5 grams of ascorbic acid and a similar amount of liposomal vitamin C in very frequent doses. Remember the key is dose, dose, dose. More vitamin C!

How it Works

The mechanism of action of high dose vitamin C is known and understood. In normal healthy tissues it acts as an antioxidant. In other tissues, it generates hydrogen peroxide, the chemical that platinum blondes use to bleach their hair. This happens in sick and inflamed tissues, for example in a malignant tumour. The process is typically a form of Fenton reaction, generating free radicals. The oxidation and free radicals arising from the hydrogen peroxide kill bacteria and inactivate viruses. In other words, vitamin C acts as a targeted bleach and antiseptic.

Vitamin C is unique, because it has low toxicity and can be taken safely in massive amounts. Other antioxidants and supplements will not have a similar effect. Do not be confused and think that Echinacea, for example, will help. Yes, there may be supplements and herbs that provide a little immune system support, but this is Ebola we are talking about – get real!

Note, vitamin C is not some magical antitoxin; this idea is a metaphor. A disease such as Ebola is not caused by toxins that are inactivated by vitamin C. Free radicals are not toxins. Oxidants are not toxins. Vitamin C nearly always acts by transferring electrons, as an oxidant or antioxidant. It is just basic chemistry. Also, it does not matter if you have poor dental hygiene, this will hardly affect how massive intakes of vitamin C tackle an acute viral infection.

Interactions

Sugar interferes with the uptake of vitamin C. If you are using vitamin C to combat a viral infection do not eat any sugar or carbohydrates (long chain sugars) or the vitamin C will not be absorbed properly. We stress that this means no sugar and no carbs, at all.

Smoking releases enormous amounts of oxidants and free radicals into the bloodstream. The vitamin C will expend itself, trying to mop up the chemicals from the smoking. We have no moral objections to people smoking: it is a personal choice. However, smoking will hinder even massive doses of vitamin C from preventing infection. Once infected with Ebola, smoking will stop the vitamin C from keeping you alive.

It is sensible also to supplement with a little chelated magnesium, such as magnesium citrate, which helps overcome the (largely theoretical) risk of kidney stones.

The reaction that generates hydrogen peroxide in sick tissues can be enhanced a little by taking selenium with the vitamin C. A little caution is needed as too much selenium will cause diarrhoea, fatigue, garlic breath, and hair and nail loss; severe toxicity can have more severe effects but is hard to achieve. Methylselenocysteine is a less toxic form and this would be our choice. The normal intake is perhaps 100-200 micrograms (0.1-0.2 mg) a day; we would take 400 micrograms a day during an epidemic and up this to 1,000 micrograms (one milligram) a day, at the initial onset of symptoms. It is possible to go up to 3 mg for short periods, with medical supervision.

Other supplements may be synergistic with vitamin C. Alpha-lipoic acid can be taken at reasonably high levels reasonably safely. We would take up to a gram or two a day (1,000-2,000 mg) in the short term. Vitamin K also helps with blood clotting and is safe in the recommended amounts – we would get the highest dose vitamin K2 supplement available. Note vitamin K is contraindicated in those with clotting disease or those on blood thinners such as warfarin.

Contraindications

The only established side effects of ascorbate therapy are wind, loose bowels and chronic good health. There are some contraindications; people with kidney disease, iron overload disease, or glucose-6-phosphatase deficiency should not immediately take high doses of vitamin C. In the setting of an epidemic they can start as we recommend but should increase more cautiously, with appropriate medical monitoring.

Why Put This Out?

People need to know that vitamin C is an option for fighting Ebola, and how it works. There is a great deal of misinformation, particularly on the internet, both from vested interests and from “loonies”. Moreover, in an Ebola epidemic vitamin C supplements may be hard to source.

This account is intended for intelligent adults, who can make their own rational decisions and take responsibility for their health. We strongly promote the idea that medicine should be based on rational patients, rather than authoritarian doctors. Doctors are there to provide the information for patients, to help them choose between available options. This is information only – what you decide to do with it is up to you.

In our opinion the use of vitamin C in Ebola is a no-brainer. Get the illness and, it is said, you have at best a 50-50 chance of surviving without vitamin C-based therapy. Corporate medicine has no effective treatment. Furthermore, if a drug were available, it would be untested and almost certainly unavailable to you, dear reader. Vitamin C is considered safe and should do no harm. The cost of treatment is low. The clinical reports of vitamin C in viral infection are that if you get the dose right, you will survive. Vitamin C is known experimentally to inactivate viruses. In the event, we hope people make rational decisions.
